walmart grocery 6-23With the cost of groceries continuing to rise, it left me with a question, is there any good coupon deals left at Super Wal-Mart? I conducted an experiment to see how many coupons I could use to find the best deals. I used 26 coupons and spent $22.13 on $70.19 worth of groceries. Check out what I found:

2 Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Clusters for $1.98 each with a $2 coupon = Free You can print more coupons here and here.

2 Kashi cereals for $3.12 each with a $2 off coupon = Cost $1.12 ea

1 Live Active Cereal for $2.84 with a $3 off coupon = Overage .16

2 Bertolli Pasta Sauce for $1.84 each with a $1 off coupon = Cost .84 ea Coupons are also found on jars and in the newspapers.

6 Deli Creations for $2.50 each with a $1 off coupon from the newspaper = Cost $1.50 ea

3 Cheerios Snack Mix for $1.98 each with a $1 off coupon = Cost .98 ea

7 Muri Glen Diced Tomatoes for $1.28 each with a $1 off coupon = Cost .28 ea You can also print coupons at www.eatbetteramerica.com

1 VFusion Acai Juice for $2.98 with a $2 off coupon = Cost .98 1 Ocean Spray Grapefruit Juice for $2.48 with a $1 off coupon from the newspaper = Cost $1.48

1 Bush's Grilling Beans for $1.25 with a $1 off coupon from the newspaper = Cost .25

These prices vary from store to store. You can find more good deals if you look hard enough. This experiment has proved that cutting coupons and saving money is the way to go for my family. Between Wal-Mart and Target, I saved $108.86. I took this money and bought other things the family wanted including steaks for the July 4th cookout, ice cream, an inflatable pool, swimsuits, and ink for the computer, plus we still had money left over. What do you think? Are coupons worth it for your family? Check out my other blogs to find other ways to save on everyday items at Wal-Mart and Target.

Here's a new freebie. Burt's Bees wants everyone to protect the bees by planting wildflowers. Fill out the form and they will send you a free pack of wildflower seeds.
