Triple Coupons at Harris Teeter

Here's something to make a coupon lover's heart go pitty patter pitty patter - Triple coupons at Harris Teeter for two more days! The coupons are tripled up to 99 cents face value. There is a limit of twenty coupons per day per household, and you must use your card. Other coupons will be redeemed at face value. Only three identical items may be tripled.

Harris Teeter's double/triple coupon policy is printed here on their website. It's very clearly worded, and it's a good idea to print it out and use it for planning before you go.

Use your triple coupons on their buy 1 get 1 free specials. When an item rings up at half price, triple coupons may mean that you get it for free!

KMart is again doubling coupons in select areas. Check their website and enter your zip code to see if your local store is doubling. If you don't see the big red announcement on the bottom of the flyer, your store is not doubling.

Time was when many more stores doubled coupons for weeks on end. Now most stores that double and triple do so with limits, or with special conditions. For example, Albertson's doubled in select areas this week, but you have to have a special coupon from the newspaper and they limit the number doubled. Some major stores will double an unlimited number of coupons, but the promotion may only last for a few days. It is well worth it to watch for these, since with careful planning you can do very well at savings.

Some chains have stores that double while others do not. Pathmark is like this - some of their stores regularly double, others don't offer doubles. And Shoprite, also in the northeast, frequently has double coupons in many of its stores. The Shoprite in Eddyston, PA is tripling through August 29. They are reported to have tripled 50 cent coupons and fully doubled coupons under $1.00 face value. Be sure to check the store's double coupon policy before checking out and make sure you know the limits on the number of coupons that will be tripled or doubled.
