Sometimes there are stock-up deals that are worth going over budget for. For me, it’s taking money out of my Christmas fund (don’t tell the kids!), but I know that in the long run, I’m saving big time. It’s stockpile time at Alberton’s. You do have a stockpile, don’t you? This is a good time to start if you don’t. They’re having an incremental sale – the more you buy, the better you save. Here are the best deals I found there: Skippy, buy 8 and get an extra $2 off, making them $1 apiece. QFC (Kroger in some areas) is consistently higher than the other stores in my area. I shop there for two reasons: they have great loss leaders, and their customer service is miles ahead of the Safeway in our town. I picked up Mentos at 10/$10. Why Mentos? It’s a homeschool thing. Ooh, I love it when they want to give me groceries! Safeway is running a promotion right now. Buy ten of their participating products, receive a $10 Catalina on your next order.
