Papyrus Clearance Up to 90% Offby Julie Gentry | More from this Blogger
What's up with that? His wife spends more money on Scrapbooking and Card-making supplies every year than my husband makes in a month. Maybe it was a joke! Frankly, I'd much rather get a Happy cHanukah or Happy Eid card than "Happy Holidays". That just sounds so impersonal and uncaring. Of course, nobody got one from us, so I guess I don't have a lot of room to talk! We hadn't been getting very many cards in a few years, so we just stopped sending them. Looks like I need to stock up on some for next year. Papyrus' sale comes at a good time. These are pretty nice cards in a variety of messages, most of them generic, but some of them with religious Christmas or cHanukah messages. For me, the gift and entertaining sections of the sale were more interesting. I got some angel soaps for a friend who likes angels. They were a buck. And some menorah candles; a dozen for two dollars. No, we're not Jewish, but they're a beautiful gradiated blue, and it's a whole pack for two bucks. I love candles. A totally cool jester bag was only a buck as well. This is as bad as the Dollar Store, where you go in to get balloons and come out $50 lighter! I just tell myself that part of being a Frugal Queen is buying early when things are on sale, then socking them away for when you need them. This sale can help. Just remember that you'll need to buy $25 worth (exclusive of note cards and gift wrap) in order to qualify for free shipping.
