Free Gillette Fusion at CVS - weeks of 12/2 and 12/9by Nikki Goodson | More from this Blogger 06 Dec 2007 07:00 AM
Hopefully, you haven't thrown out the coupons from this week's paper. In the Procter & Gamble coupon insert from December 2nd, there is a coupon for $4 off 1 Gillette Fusion. Clip that out! In this week's CVS ad (back page), it advertises that you can buy a Fusion for $9.99 and earn $6 Extra Bucks. That would make your cost $3.99 - BUT you've got your coupon for $4, which makes this razor free! (Well, technically, they'll be paying you $.01 - ok, even more technically, you're actually paying them sales tax. But whatever it is, it's very close to free.) Limit of one deal per card number. The great thing is that the CVS ad even has a little orange circle by the deal pointing out to "look for coupons in Sunday's paper" - they love for you to get free razors as much as you do. The razors that qualify are regular, power, or phantom. Power razor, by the way, only means that it has a little battery inside and you can turn it on so it vibrates. It's not an electric razor in the sense like a Braun or Norelco. Does anybody actually prefer the silly power razor? It doesn't seem to do anything helpful for shaving. The only use we've found for it is that the kids really love turning things on that vibrate. Of course, when the object you're talking about is a razor, that's probably not a good thing! Please make sure to remove the blade top before giving this as a toy to your child. :D Oh, and the Phantom razor is just a marketing ploy. I'm pretty sure the only difference between it and the Power is that it is black. This particular deal is also advertised for NEXT week's ad. It is a separate deal, so if you are able to get a second coupon, then you can do it once this week (12/2-12/8) and once next week (12/9 - 12/15). Have fun saving and shaving! Relevantdealsblog tags User Comments MissV (8) 17 Dec 2007 09:19 AMI have a question for one blogger in particular. There are many frugal shoppers that know full well the value of the CVS Extra Buck Program. Many of us have been using this program to fetch free items and deep discounts by combining coupons with Extra Bucks. We all have cabinets chock full of free shavers, shampoo, energy shots, mouth wash, toothpaste, deoderant, ect.. I personally have saved, this year alone(as it states on my last register receipt) 1,535.46. I have also supplied my local homeless shelter with many of these free amd much needed items that I have aquired by using this great program. Now, I have a question for one particular blogger. HOW MUCH LONGER DO YOU THINK CVS WILL CONTINUE THIS MARVELOUS EXTRA BUCKS PROGRAM IF CVS STORES NATIONWIDE ARE SUDDENLY INUNDATED WITH CUSTOMERS COMMING IN FOR FREE STUFF. (because someone out there on the internet just couldn't resist bragging to 360813 registered users, on this site alone) about how savy they are. Common sense alone should tell you that if suddenly hundreds of people start going to CVS stores to get FREE stuff , it wouldn't be long befor the whole Extra Bucks program would no longer be profitable for them and they would drop the program or greatly reduce the amount of items or the savings amount. So , please, I beg you.. If it's not already too late. STOP shouting this little diddy from the rooftops. I know you are proud of how savy and frugal you are when it comes to saving your family some money. And so you should be. So are the rest of us who work hard at finding these little treasures that will save us some money. BUT.. there is no good sense in ruining a good thing for us all by spreading this to the multitudes. Once again , I beg you , in all sincerety. STOP publicising the CVS Extra Buck Program on this blog or any other. If you really feel the need to brag about how savy you are , then please reserve it for your friends and family like the rest of us do. Sincerely, and with no malice intended. Miss V P.S. I have read many of your comments and other than this one little ditty I think you are great and you have a wonderful family. Merry Christmas Nikki Goodson (15905) 17 Dec 2007 10:35 AMThe deals are so amazing that it's easy to believe that CVS would go out of business if we all took advantage of the deals, isn't it? But don't worry, they're still making lots of money. The ExtraBucks program is not designed for us to save money, but for them to make profit. They wouldn't have even introduced the program if it wasn't for their own benefit!! Thanks for sharing your concerns! :) Community Tags CVS, coupon, free, Gillette Fusion, razor Discuss this article
