100 Digital Pictures Printed and Shipped to You for a Buckby Julie Gentry | More from this Blogger
We take tons of pictures with it. It has served me well, and made me look like a better photographer than I am! (That's Crater Lake in the photo.) But as wonderful as it is to be able to take picture after picture without worrying about perfection, there's a big drawback - actually getting the photos printed. Scrapbooking is my money pit, so when I'm on the ball, we do spend a lot on photos. For awhile, I printed them at home. That is, until dh calculated the cost of the paper and ink, and found that, even as frugal as we are, it wasn't cost-effective. Now we either take them to Wally World or get them printed online. We've been pretty pleased with SnapFish, but I'm uploading a hundred pictures to WinkFlash as I type this. A hundred photos shipped to me for .99. They're obviously losing money on this, but it's a way for them to expand their customer base. Their interface is fairly easy to use, and it's loading quickly for me on a DSL. Of course, it's near midnight and traffic is probably pretty non-existent on their server. It might take a little longer during the day. Other people have said that the quality of the photos is good. If so, SnapFish, long the leader for online photos, may now have some competition! Here's the link to WinkFlash. Input code CA59WT43 into the box at the far top left before you check out.
