Some of the sources of coupons that are great to use are right there in the store! Look for "blinkie" dispensers, which have coupons by the product on the shelf and have a blinking light to get your attention. Look also for tearpads. These are great sources of promotions.

I had a fun experience at Dollar General recently. I got a bunch of Campbells products, shampoo, cleaners all ready to go for the cashier. I bought no more than two of each item, matched it with a coupon, and got in line. All my coupons were from Coupons.com or SmartSource. Uh oh.

I just had a super email in my inbox. Mypoints.com sent me a link to a $1 off two Birdseye Steamfresh Lightly Sauced Vegetables. For clicking on the link I got 5 Mypoints points. Print the coupon - another 15 points. Redeem the coupon - 300 points! Mypoints has long made coupons.

This weekend is another great opportunity to stock up on insert coupons. There are two inserts - Red Plum and Smart Source. The Smart Source insert is very fat. I absolutely love this about this time of year. It's the season of stockups. Find a preview of this week's coupons here.

At year's end, I like to look back at the deals I have done and see what savings I've achieved. I really liked the ones for Hunts, Keebler and Nabisco products, where you buy a certain amount and get $10 back.
